Will Bernie Sanders Run In 2024?

(FiveNation.com)- According to a report from19fortyfive, United States Senator Bernie Sanders is a true champion of progressive causes and is now at the pinnacle of his political career.

Because Sanders has already run for president twice in a row, his name is beginning to surface as a possible contender for the election in 2024. The only obstacle is the incumbent, Joe Biden, who still has time left on his term. But President Biden hasn’t yet announced his intention to run for reelection in 2024.

Would Bernie Sanders run again?

There is a slim chance that Sanders may make another bid for the presidency. If Joe Biden does decide to run for reelection, then Bernie Sanders will almost probably not enter the race. This is the consensus among political observers.

Sanders is a socialist and an independent, but he has proven in the past that he is hesitant out of worry that he may do anything to increase the prospects of Republicans winning the White House.

After losing the Democrat primary to Hillary Clinton in 2016, Bernie Sanders caved and backed her rather than making a fuss that may have helped Trump’s prospects of becoming president.

Senator Sanders has not announced if he’d run for re-election at the end of his current term.

An outlet reported that Sanders was annoyed when people close to him admitted that he wouldn’t get to the White House or that they were prepared to shift on to other  progressives.

Sanders reportedly has openly refused to give up on a presidential campaign in 2024 in the scenario in which Biden doesn’t run.

One of Sanders’s co-chairs for his 2020 campaign, Congressman Ro Khanna of California, was briefly mentioned as a possible rival to Vice President Joe Biden, much to the displeasure of some of Sanders’s most loyal supporters. This may be seen not so much as a statement that he still aspires to be president but as a recognition that he maintains a large amount of political power as long as the possibility of his being president exists.
