Olena Bilozerska, writer, journalist, and the most lethal female sniper in Ukraine, has threatened to kill Putin if given the chance personally. She went even further, saying that she thinks Putin’s minions will assassinate him once the Russian elite perceives that their reign is becoming unprofitable, so he won’t survive to witness the international tribunal that will convict him.
The former authoritarian government of Viktor Yanukovych, overthrown in the 2014 Maidan Revolution, threatened to arrest her for her critical journalism.
Bilozerska called Putin “inadequate” and cautioned that other nearby nations, such as Poland, Moldova, or Finland, would be attacked after Ukraine if Putin managed to seize control of that country.
In 2014, while employed as a journalist in Kyiv, Olena volunteered to become a sniper for the Ukrainian military in Dnipro. In 2018, she became a full-time soldier in the Ukrainian Marine Corps. She served in the Artan Special Unit of Ukraine after being demobilized in 2020, but she returned to combat for her nation during Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. She and her spouse, Valeriy Voronov, were both prepared for deployment as soldiers of the Ukrainian Territorial Defense Services,
Olena said that the conflict has become more challenging in comparison to the battles in 2014 and 2017 since the adversary can see you almost all the time because Russia deploys drones. She is now an officer in the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence Unit, where she prepares and conducts raids. She has said that, following the goals outlined in 1991, after the fall of the Soviet Union, Ukraine must persist in its war against Russia to regain control of its borders.
