Zelenskyy Is Angry Ukrainian Officials Revealed Covert Tactics In Crimea.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, criticized Ukrainian officials this week for disclosing details of his military’s clandestine operations against Russian forces in Crimea. The Ukrainian president did not specify what military activity he was criticizing, but remarks made in his nightly speech on Thursday indicated that he was not satisfied with the information that hinted his country might attack the Russian Saki Air Base.
Zelenskyy stated that now was not the time for ‘vain comments’ in response to allegations in media that cited unnamed Ukrainian officials who claimed that Ukraine was responsible for the string of explosions in occupied Crimea.
Zelenskyy remarked that the less information shared about defense strategies, the easier it will be to implement those strategies if you want Ukraine to triumph.
According to reports, days after explosions rocked the Russian airbase on the Crimean coast, Ukraine has still not officially taken responsibility for the strike, which is believed to have destroyed nine Russian warplanes. Russia continues to insist that the explosions were an accident.
The United States Department of Defense noted that the bombardment on the Russian base “significantly impacted Russian airpower and personnel,” suggesting that the attack was strategic and targeted. Satellite images also show craters on the ground on the Crimea airbase, where warplanes were seen only a day before.
Russian authorities confirmed that one person died in the explosions and several others were injured but insisted that Ukrainian troops did not successfully strike the base with missiles. Instead, Russian authorities claim that the explosions were caused by an accidental detonation of ammunition caused by staff who did not follow proper safety protocols.
Ukrainian officials, including President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, also denied responsibility for the attacks.
When questioned by local media, Zelenskyy adviser Mikhail Podolyak said they had no connection to the bombing. It was likely a compensatory strategy of ineffective administration inside the Russian Federation’s military services.
According to Ukraine’s official narrative, the strike might have been initiated by partisans.
Oh, goody. That means the US may soon be sponsoring not only Ukraine’s military but splinter groups, too.
