Ukraine President’s Statue Requested For U.S. Capitol

(FiveNation.com)- This elevates the “I support the current thing” meme to unimaginable heights.

According to rumors, Congress is mulling over a request that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s bust be displayed in the US Capitol House wing.

Other Uniparty members are incredibly envious of this; there’s no doubt about that. Dan Crenshaw is probably punching the walls in frustration at how he did not come up with this idea first.

Why don’t they just fly the Ukrainian flag at the Capitol?

Oh. That happened already.

The Washington Times reports that the bust of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is being proposed for placement in the House wing of the U.S. Capitol by a Republican representative.

Earlier this week, South Carolina representative Joe Wilson introduced a resolution ordering the U.S. House of Representatives Fine Arts Board to acquire a bust of Mr. Zelenskyy for exhibition.

All artwork and historical artifacts on exhibit in the House wing of the U.S. Capitol and the nearby office buildings are subject to the board’s control.

Mr. Wilson is a senior member of the House Armed Services and Foreign Affairs committees and has been a member of Congress since 2001. He was appointed to head a GOP task force on national security earlier this year.

Mr. Wilson, a fiery conservative who received criticism for calling out “you lie” at former President Obama during a 2009 speech to Congress, has come out strongly in favor of Ukraine.

In December, he told the Charleston Post and Courier that the American Revolution was reminiscent of Ukraine’s struggle against Russian aggression.

A sad arc would undoubtedly include going from a fearless truth-teller to a supporter of a despotic ruler. Even purportedly rebellious leaders are figuratively drained by the swamp.

Wilson should be informed that Zelenskyy will not date him. Of course, Zelenskyy is happy to accept further billions in tax money from Americans.

We must remove lawmakers who serve foreign leaders and special interests and replace them with Congress members willing to put America first. Joe Wilson is undoubtedly eligible to be fired from his position.
