U.S. Army Has Reportedly Developed A Vaccine That Protects Against All Variants

(FiveNation.com)- After two years of suffering through the COVID-19 pandemic, scientists from the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research have reportedly developed a brand-new vaccine that is effective in preventing infection from all COVID and SARS variants. It comes as the new Omicron variant of COVID-19 sweeps across the United States, accounting for as much as 90% of new infections in states including New York.

According to new reports, researchers from the medical research facility in Maryland will announce the completion of their new vaccine.

It could dramatically improve the current COVID-19 situation, with growing numbers of so-called “breakthrough” infections happening every single day, with fully vaccinated and boosted people contracting the virus. Omicron now accounts for some 73% of new COVID infections across the entire country.

The new vaccine, a Spike Ferritin Nanoparticle COVID-19, began development in early 2020 – but is among the latest to announce the completion of the project. It will likely become available to the public, assuming it is safe, once the Food and Drug Administration determines its safety and efficacy in the coming weeks or months.

The vaccine was developed specifically to protect not just against the Alpha variant of COVID-19, but against all variants that may emerge in the future.

Animal trials were completed earlier in the year, and human trials began in April of this year. Results of those trials showed that the vaccine creates a strong immune response and gives a good level of protection against all SARS and COVID infections.

If this vaccine works better than the vaccines currently being used, it could bring the pandemic to a dramatic halt, and finally allow us to go back to normal. If the politicians let us go back to normal, that is.
