Trump Says Ilhan Omar Should Apologize For Abandoning Her Former Country

( Former President Trump this week decided to wade into the feud between Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert and Squad member Ilhan Omar.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Trump demanded Omar apologize — for marrying her brother to commit immigration fraud, for her anti-Israel comments, and for “essentially abandoning her former country,” which, Trump added, “doesn’t even have a government.”

Ilham Omar flipped her hijab a couple of weeks ago after a video emerged of Congresswoman Boebert jokingly referring to Omar as part of the “Jihad Squad.”

Boebert was accused of “Islamophobia” for the joke and eventually apologized to the Muslim community for her insensitivity.

But her apology didn’t matter. Democrats, led by the shrieking harpies from the Squad, are demanding that Boebert be censured for her joke and are calling on Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy to punish the Colorado Congresswoman.

Ironically, members of the Squad have routinely referred to Republican House members as “insurrectionists,” “traitors,” “domestic terrorists,” “white supremacists,” and even the Ku Klux Klan. Yet nobody in Congress is demanding that they be censured for such incendiary rhetoric.

For her part, Ilhan is squeezing every ounce of victimhood she can out of this non-story, squalling like a child over the “death threats” she’s received and blaming them on Boebert’s “Jihad Squad” joke.

Naturally, her fellow Squad members are joining in. On Wednesday, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez quote-tweeted a video of Omar playing a recorded threat she received. In her tweet, Ocasio-Cortez accused Kevin McCarthy of being so desperate to be Speaker of the House “that he is working with the Ku Klux Klan caucus.”

So, if you’re following at home, it is bad, baddy-bad to refer to Ilhan Omar as “Jihad Squad,” but it is acceptable to refer to Republicans as the “Ku Klux Klan caucus.”

Congresswoman Boebert’s only mistake was apologizing.

These harpies from the Squad are running the same playbook they used against Marjorie Taylor Greene and Paul Gosar. And they’re doing it because they know it will work.

Ilhan Omar isn’t in fear for her life.

The goal here is to exploit a throwaway joke to censure yet another Republican House member and strip her of her committee assignments.
