Trump Jumps In Controversial Battle

(FiveNation.com)- Former President Donald Trump publicly endorsed popular Republican Rep. Paul Gosar of Arizona on Thursday, just a day after House Democrats voted to censure him and strip him of his committee assignments for sharing a joke video on Twitter.

The video was an anime-style cartoon clip that had characters’ faces replaced with Rep. Gosar’s face, as well as President Joe Biden and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s faces. The video was widely described as showing Gosar “murdering” the pair, but in reality, it showed over-the-top sword fighting scenes in which Biden and AOC were depicted as Gosar’s enemies.

It was clearly a joke and anybody watching the clip may be left wondering where the “murder” scenes are.

As the media lost its collective mind about the issue, former President Trump came out and offered his full support to the Arizona congressman.

“Congressman Paul Gosar has been a loyal supporter of our America First agenda, and even more importantly, the USA,” the former president said in a statement issued by his Save America PAC.

“Paul is a Congressman who is highly respected in Arizona, strong on Crime, Borders, our Military, and our Veterans. He continually fights for Lower Taxes, Less Regulations, and our great, but under siege, Second Amendment. Paul Gosar has my Complete and Total Endorsement!”

And now that Gosar still has Trump’s endorsement, you can bet that he’s not going to be beaten in a possible primary challenge.

Gosar also represents a staunchly conservative district – meaning it’s unlikely we’ll see him leaving office any time soon. The Arizona Rep won 60% of the vote in the last election and is not considered to be part of a competitive reelection campaign.

It just goes to show how important it is for Republicans to stand up for one another in the same way the radical Democrats do.

When they lie, Republicans stick up for one another!
