Tom Cotton Plans To Blast Joe Biden As Weak During His RNC Speech Thursday Night

(FiveNation.com)- Arkansas Republican Senator Tom Cotton has big plans for his speech at the Republican National Convention on Thursday night.

He wants to attack Democratic nominee Joe Biden’s record, hoping to dismantle President Donald Trump’s challenger.

Cotton told “Fox & Friends” on Thursday morning that he would contrast Trump’s “strength” with “Joe Biden’s record of indecision and weakness” that he has shown over the 50 years that he has spent in public office. Cotton is set to speak right before President Trump takes center stage to give the final words of the convention.

As Cotton said on the TV program:

“I’m going to expose Joe Biden as weak and wrong for America.”

While Cotton is only in his first term as a senator, he has risen up the ranks quickly, gaining national prominence for a number of reasons. In addition to being a graduate of Harvard Law School and a combat veteran with the Army, Cotton has also made waves for his ardent support of President Trump.

He has attacked Biden on many occasions, and was actually one of the first politicians to warn about the dangers of the coronavirus.

Cotton said his plan for his speech was to make many contrasts between Trump and Biden. That will include keeping America out of war and safe. He explained:

“Barack Obama’s own secretary of Defense said Joe Biden has been wrong on nearly every major national security decision for the last 40 years. I’m going to put a little meat on those bones. Joe Biden opposed the mission to kill Osama bin Laden. Donald Trump rained death from the skies on the terrorist leaders of ISIS and Iran. Joe Biden treated Israel like a nuisance. Donald Trump moved our embassy to Jerusalem and brokered peace in the Middle East.

“Joe Biden will be weak and wrong for America. Donald Trump will be strong.”

Cotton even touched on the civil unrest in Kenosha, Wisconsin, following the police shooting of Jacob Blake. He called the Republican National Convention a “sharp contrast” to the Democratic National Convention of last week.

He said:

“The Democrats didn’t say anything about how they are going to make your lives better, make your lives safer, how they will help us defeat the virus, or stand up to our enemies abroad. All they did was launch broadside personal attacks against the president.”

Cotton said that the only way to stop the arson, looting, rioting and violence in a place like Kenosha is to send in the National Guard and let them and police handle the situation. He criticized the Democratic leaders of the city and the state of Wisconsin for not doing so on the first night of riots. He explained:

“As the vice president said last night, in Joe Biden’s America, you and your families will not be safe. What starts in large cities like New York and Portland comes to small towns like Kenosha, Wisconsin.”

Buckle your seatbelts for quite the RNC speech.
