(FiveNation.com)- Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Senator Marco Rubio are currently leading in the polls ahead of their November races, according to Breitbart. In a poll conducted by usquehanna Polling and Research firm, DeSantis leads the Democratic challenger, Rep. Charlie Crist, by four points, 47 to 43%, leaving 10% of voters undecided in the race.
The firm showed that Crist is leading amongst decided Independents 36 to 31, but ultimately concluded that undecided Independents, who make up one-third, could lean more toward DeSantis because 45% of Independents view the governor favorably.
There is some good news for Rubio as well as he leads his challenger, Rep. Val Demings, by three points, 47 to 44, but his lead has greatly narrowed in the last year. He used to lead Demings by 11 points in a hypothetical matchup and the Democrat is doing better amongst Independents, leading Rubio 41 points to his 32.
Other polling from AARP shows DeSantis leading Crist, including with Independents with a four point lead. DeSantis also enjoys a 51% favorability rating while the former Democratic mayor has a favorable view with voters at 41% and unfavorable view at 48%.
Crist has come out against DeSantis and in favor of Biden for his attack on “MAGA Republicans.”
“God love him. God love him, and I do,” Crist said, referring to Biden. “And he’s told it straight. Democracy is at stake…Our freedoms are at stake. And the President laid it out, and he couldn’t hold back and I’m so damn proud of him for it.”
Rubio is taking Demings to task for refusing to answer whether or not she thinks abortion should be prohibited in the state.
During an interview, Rubio said that Demings believes that abortion “should be paid by taxpayers at any time, at any time, including potentially today that the child is due for delivery.”
