Obama Plays The “Race Card” From His $12 Million Estate

(FiveNation.com)- In a recent address to the Copenhagen Democracy Summit, former President Barack Obama criticized those who opposed “identity politics.” Obama claimed he had “little sympathy for reactionaries” who cynically attacked identity politics or rejected culture when all they were doing was attempting to maintain existing privilege or justify entrenched intolerance. The original identity politics, he claimed, are racism, sexism, and homophobia. That is unmistakably identity politics, he whined. Obama thinks that has caused far more harm than a single tweet from a liberal who feels wronged.
That’s the same Obama who made his name known by denouncing identity politics in a keynote speech at the Boston DNC convention in 2004.
According to reports, then-Senator Obama of Illinois stated that there were people who planned to divide us. He blamed the spin masters and negative ad peddlers. But he said there was only one country called the United States of America; there wasn’t a liberal America or a conservative America. There was no such thing as black America, white America, Latino America, or Asian America. Obama said we were one people who were united in protecting the United States of America and in swearing loyalty to the flag.
Obama had his first “60 Minutes” interview only days before he declared his bid to become the Democratic Party’s nominee for president in 2008.
The interview showed that “60 Minutes” reporter Steve Kroft asked Obama if he believed the nation was prepared for a black president.

Obama replied yes.
Kroft then asked him if he thought being black might hold him back.
Obama said he believed there would be other reasons he wouldn’t win the race. It would result from his failure to present the American people with a vision for the nation’s future that they can support.
That was the Obama the American people thought they voted for in November 2008.
According to a January 2009 ABC News poll, 58 percent of respondents believed that Obama would improve racial relations. However, a CNN/ORC survey conducted in October 2016 indicated that 40% of Black people and 57% of White people believed that under Obama, racial relations had become worse.

President Obama peddled one grievance after another with little evidence.
His Presidency was based on lies. He knew that racism had never been a less significant factor as an obstacle to American achievement. That is proven true by the fact that he was elected twice.

You would think that a millionaire and two-term President could afford to have that chip on his shoulder removed.
