“Neutral” China Is Privately Pushing Vladimir Putin’s Dominating Agenda

(FiveNation.com)- China might not be giving Russia the military support that Russian President Vladimir Putin had hoped it might provide, but that hasn’t stopped the Chinese Communist Party from working overdrive to help Russia’s propaganda efforts.

In the People’s Daily, the flagship state-run newspaper in China, the United States was blamed for the conflict in Ukraine. The propaganda newspaper said that the U.S. bears “unavoidable responsibility” for the war in Ukraine.

“Behind the Ukraine crisis lies the shadow of American hegemony,” the paper claims.

Written by Zhong Sheng, the pen name used when the Chinese newspaper writes about international matters, the piece argues that the U.S.-led expansion of NATO to the east is the “root cause of the Ukraine crisis” and that the U.S. is the “instigator of the Ukraine crisis.”

Interesting that China called it a crisis…did they inadvertently admit that Russia’s “special military operation” is actually a full-scale invasion?

The column was the first in what appears to be a series of CCP propaganda articles about conflict in Eastern Europe, and specifically calls for all parties involved with the conflict – directly and indirectly – to adopt a “realistic and sober view” of geopolitical issues and to build a new security mechanism that “transcends the thinking of eastern and Western camps.”

At face value, it sounds like China is trying to bridge the gap between the East and the West. That would be a positive thing. But when is China ever honest about…well…anything?

The paper also calls on the United State to reflect on its “contemptible role” and to “completely abandon its Cold War mentality.”

Perhaps if communist nations stopped with the propaganda, that could happen some day…
