(FiveNation.com)- Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee hit out at the mainstream press on Friday over their lack of questioning about Hunter Biden, the son of former Vice President Joe Biden who engaged for years in lucrative business deals with foreign countries while his father was in the White House.
Huckabee humiliated Biden during a discussion on Fox & Friends on Friday, referencing a “softball” interview on Thursday night between Joe Biden and “comedian” Stephen Colbert. During the interview, Biden told Colbert that he was confident that his son’s business deals did not involve “foul play,” which doesn’t make sense given that Joe Biden has previously claimed he doesn’t know anything about his son’s business deals.
So, which one is it?
Biden also said that “it is what it is” and moved on to various softball questions.
Huckabee wasn’t having any of it and lambasted the press and TV personalities for giving Joe Biden an easy ride despite an ongoing federal investigation into his son’s tax affairs and business deals.
“He doesn’t sit down with any hard-hitting journalists because there aren’t any that are going to ask him the tough questions,” Huckabee said.
The former governor also said that Joe Biden could give the “Luckiest Man” speech at the Yankee Stadium that Lou Gehrig gave on July 4, 1939, because the former vice president “is the luckiest man on planet earth.”
Well, he did manage to become “president-elect” despite barely campaigning. Lucky, huh?
“Somehow, miraculously, he got 16 million more votes than a very popular Barack Obama,” he said. “He gets no questions from the press about his son. And the issue with his son has nothing to do with Hunter, it has to do with what did Joe know? What did Joe get from these deals?”
Huckabee had some questions about Joe Biden’s hatred of fossil fuels, and the fact his son made millions off the industry.
“How is it that someone who hates fossil fuels doesn’t call out his son for making millions of dollars off fossil fuel?” he asked. “It doesn’t make sense to me.
And on the topic of fossil fuels…how exactly did Biden pull off a miraculous victory in Pennsylvania while also committing to ending fracking?
The mind boggles!
