(FiveNation.com)- Mohammed Tariq, a 24-year-old refugee from Afghanistan, has been convicted by a federal jury for sexually abusing a three-year-old girl while at a Virginia military base.
According to a statement released by the Department of Justice, evidence presented at the trial proved how Tariq engaged in sexual activity with the child while they were being housed in Camp Upshur, a Marine Corps base, after being evacuated from Afghanistan.
Tariq was seen by United States marines sexually abusing the victim over her clothing, touching her on her genitals, backside, and chest. Tariq was not related to the victim but they had both been recently evacuated from the United States under orders from the Biden administration.
It’s a clear indication that the Biden administration didn’t think evacuations through. Not only were the majority of people evacuated from Afghanistan after Biden’s disastrous withdrawal of U.S. troops from the country, but many of the people who were brought to the United States were granted asylum over dubious claims that they were “translators” for the U.S. Armed Forces.
Apparently, there were tens of thousands of translators.
Tariq is looking at up to life in prison when he faces sentencing in April.
Jessica D. Aber, the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, said that the case proves law enforcement’s “commitment to ensure the safety of immigrant and refugee members of our community.”
What about the safety of American citizens who never asked for the war in Afghanistan in the first place, let alone the importation of thousands of new refugees?
