Kevin Costner Is Ready To Start Dating Again

Sources close to Hollywood star Kevin Costner told a magazine reporter that he is ready to start dating again despite his ongoing messy divorce. The Yellowstone actor has reportedly lost 15 pounds and is working on his appearance so he can be more attractive to women. “He figures the best way to move past this mess is to get back on the dating scene,” the source said.

Costner met his soon-to-be ex-wife, Christine Baumgartner, in 1998, four years after he divorced his first wife, Cindy Silva. The couple married in 2004 and welcomed their first child three years later. They went on to have two more children and were married for 18 years. In April last year, they announced their separation. In court documents, Baumgartner cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for initiating divorce.

The couple both applied for joint custody of their children, and the actor’s legal filing mentioned a prenuptial agreement that protected a large proportion of his property, including jewelry and earnings he accumulated prior to their marriage and will accumulate after its dissolution. The actor’s previous 16-year marriage ended with a $80 million settlement.

Meanwhile, production sources state that Costner will leave the popular show Yellowstone after its fifth season. Rumors have been circulating for some time that the actor’s relationship with the show’s co-creator, Taylor Sheridan, has deteriorated. A Paramount Network spokesperson refused to confirm any rift and declined to speculate on Costner’s departure.

Keith Cox, president of development and production at Paramount Network, said Kevin Costner is a “big part of Yellowstone, and we hope that’s the case for a long time to come.”

Yellowstone is a western drama that premiered in 2018 and focuses on the life of the Dutton family – owners of the largest ranch in Montana – and their attempts to preserve their land from outsiders. It was the most-watched US show in 2021-2022; more than 9 million people viewed the season four finale.
