Kayleigh McEnany Tells Biden To Not Enflame Tensions

(FiveNation.com)- Former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany had some harsh words for President Joe Biden on Tuesday, slamming him for inflaming tensions over the Derek Chauvin trial.

Speaking during a Fox News segment, the popular press secretary under the Trump administration said that the president’s decision to weigh in on the Derek Chauvin trial risked causing more violent left-wing riots, which America suffered for much of 2020.

When she was asked about the comments made by Rep. Maxine Waters of California, who encouraged protesters to get more “confrontational,” she also reiterated how important it is for political leaders to stay out of these legal issues.

“We heard Judge Cahill go on to caution elected officials and say, I urge you not to weigh in, hours before the president himself weighs in,” McEnany said.

“I’m glad he at least waited until the jury was sequestered, but I think that the country is such a tinderbox right now, especially in Minneapolis,” she added. “There’s so much hurt and pain, and I think it’s the role of the president of the United States to stay back, to not inflame the tensions.”

Biden’s comments definitely did inflame tensions.

“I’m praying the verdict is the right verdict,” Biden said during an interview with the press in the Oval Office. “Which is…I think it is overwhelming, in my view.”

The president was clearly alluding to his view that Derek Chauvin murdered George Floyd when he arrested him in Minneapolis last year. A view shared by the Black Lives Matter and Antifa rioters who caused roughly $2 billion in damages from riots last year.

“But it’s such a tinderbox moment, and I think he should have just reserved comment and said he’s praying for the family, as we all are,” McEnany added.

McEnany’s comments caused an uproar among far-left activists and commentators on Twitter, with many suggesting that she was hypocritical – claiming that former President Donald Trump regularly inflamed tensions.

What they didn’t recognize, however, is that far-left Democrats who perpetuated conspiracy theories like the Russia hoax did much more than President Trump ever did to “inflame tensions.”
