After being unexpectedly approached on the White House grounds, Joe Biden’s doctor offered a strange response when asked whether he was the president’s doctor.
As he attempted to navigate the increased security measures for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s arrival on Thursday, Kevin O’Connor was approached by reporters who wanted to know whether he was the president’s physician.
O’Connor said he wasn’t sure as he hurriedly made his way to the White House.
The retired US Army medic went on to say that Biden was in “excellent” mental and physical condition and that he didn’t think the president needed a cognitive exam.
O’Connor has been an integral part of the Biden family throughout Beau’s latter stages of illness, and Biden and others in the White House call him “doc” with fondness. O’Connor and the president have been friends for more than a decade.
Since Biden assumed office in January 2021—or perhaps before—the mysterious doctor has hardly made remarks and has never granted an interview or news conference.
When questioned about Biden’s health, he smiled and answered, “It’s excellent.”
“Why didn’t you administer a cognitive test to him?” the journalist inquired. ‘We don’t need to,’ O’Connor reasoned.
Regarding the possibility that Biden had Parkinson’s disease, he also stated that the trips of Parkinson’s expert Kevin Cannard to the White House were unrelated
He reiterated his previous statement from two weeks ago, in which he clarified that Cannard only met Biden for annual physical checks,
According to O’Connor, during and after the epidemic, he regularly hosted neurology clinics in the White House Medical Clinic to assist the hundreds of active-duty military personnel assigned to support White House operations.
On Sunday, Biden announced his withdrawal from the campaign while pledging to remain in government until the conclusion of his term.
Biden’s doctor assured the world that he was fine, yet the Democratic party forced him off the ticket.
