Joe Biden Collapses In Latest Poll

(FiveNation.com)- The most recent poll from the Associated Press/NORC Center for Public Affairs Research shows that President Biden’s approval has dropped slightly from last month, inching closer to the lowest approval of his presidency.

In this month’s AP/NORC poll, the president’s approval dropped back down to 38 percent, a 7-point drop from February’s AP/NORC poll which had Biden’s approval at 45 percent.

Biden’s lowest approval level in the AP/NORC poll was 36 percent in July 2022, when the country was experiencing record-high gas prices on top of persistently high inflation.

Since then, the president’s approval has bounced back into the low 40s.

But with the ongoing high consumer prices and inflation coupled with a series of catastrophes like the train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, and the recent collapse of Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank, Biden’s approval rating slipped.

Only 31 percent of respondents approve of the president’s handling of the economy.

While 76 percent of Democrats say they approve of Biden’s overall job as president, only 63 percent approve of his handling of the economy.

Democrat voters under the age of 45 are part of the reason Biden’s approval rating fell to 38 percent. Only 66 percent of Democrats under 45 approve of the president’s overall job, while only 54 percent approve of Biden’s handling of the economy.

Democrats over the age of 45 are more approving of the 80-year-old president, with Biden’s overall approval at 85 percent and 72 percent approving of his handling of the economy.

Only 39 percent of all respondents approve of the president’s handling of foreign policy. Broken down by party, 74 percent of Democrats and only 9 percent of Republicans approve of Biden’s foreign policy.

Meanwhile, Biden’s handling of climate change garnered 41 percent approval overall, with 67 percent of Democrats and 17 percent of Republicans approving of Biden’s handling of climate change.
