(FiveNation.com)- Social justice warriors may not have succeeded in making James Bond a woman, but the film appears to have been made sufficiently woke to turn viewers off. At least, that’s what the data from the box office release of “No Time To Die” shows.
Reports revealed this week how the latest installment of the British spy movie franchise only brought in $56 million in its opening weekend in the United States. The disappointing turnout for the new movie has been blamed on everything from vaccine and mask mandates to people struggling to pay for luxuries like going to the movie theater.
Maybe it’s got something to do with this:

The movie had been expected to bring in at least $60 million in its opening weekend, and it not only fell short of that expectation but was dramatically less than the $90 million that Venom 2 brought in the week before.
If Venom 2 can attract $90 million in ticket sales, then how can anyone blame James Bond’s disastrous opening weekend on COVID?
The new movie made some $35 million in its opening weekend in the United Kingdom, where it was released on September 30. The U.K. has a population of less than 70 million people, compared to the United States’ 329 million – meaning the Brits turned out in greater numbers than the Americans.
The Daily Mail speculated that America’s low number of viewers could have been driven by big cities requiring moviegoers to wear a mask or prove their vaccination status, but again, it doesn’t explain why Venom 2 was able to do perfectly well in its opening weekend.
Maybe people don’t want a woke James Bond?
