Brad Simpson, the husband of missing Texas mother of four Suzanne Simpson, was arrested on Wednesday after a neighbor came forward with key information about a violent altercation between the couple the night Suzanne went missing. Suzanne, a 51-year-old real estate agent, has not been seen or heard from since Sunday night when she attended a party in the Alamo Heights neighborhood of San Antonio.

According to the arrest affidavit, a neighbor told police that between 10 and 11 p.m. Sunday, he heard arguing outside his home. When he looked out the window, he saw Brad and Suzanne in a physical struggle. Suzanne appeared to be trying to escape, while Brad attempted to restrain her. Shortly after, the neighbor heard screams from a wooded area nearby and went back inside.

The neighbor later saw Brad leave in his black 2019 GMC pickup truck around midnight and return one to two hours later. Suzanne never picked up one of her children from school the next day, and staff at the school reported that the child mentioned her father had hurt her mother and taken her phone away.
Brad reported Suzanne missing on Monday, but investigators have noted that he has been uncooperative in the search efforts. He is believed to have fled to his ranch in Bandera County earlier in the week and failed to show up for a scheduled police interview. He is currently being held in county jail on charges related to the altercation.
Authorities are now asking the public to report any sightings of Brad’s black GMC truck from Monday morning to Tuesday night. Investigators continue to search the family’s home and surrounding woods for clues regarding Suzanne’s whereabouts.
There are lots of strange things about this story…and we have a feeling that we’ll be reporting on it again very soon. We’ll keep you informed.
