(FiveNation.com)- During an interview with Newsmax on Wednesday, Rep. Tim Burchett slammed former presidential candidate and First Lady Hillary Clinton as a “dangerous” person and suggested that he won’t need to “answer anything” about Special Counsel John Durham’s findings relating to her campaign’s alleged spying of the Trump campaign in 2016.
It comes after a new court filing by Durham that alleges the Hillary Clinton campaign worked with a tech executive and workers in multiple major tech companies to spy on then-candidate Donald Trump’s communications coming out of Trump Tower. The spying allegedly continued well into Trump’s presidency.
“This whole thing is just as shady as Hades,” the Republican Tennessee congressman said. “You kind of have to have a scorecard to keep it all straight…it goes right back to Hillary Clinton.”
Burchett argued that Clinton is “ruthless” in her campaigning but that she won’t face any questions or pressure from the media about it because the major news outlets and networks are already so invested in the false claim that former President Donald Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 presidential election.
How can they go back on that now?
He also said that Clinton has a history of doing things like this, and that Trump was “completely correct” when he accused her of spying on his campaign.
“The national media just laughed at him,” he said, citing how Leslie Stahl on 60 Minutes insisted Trump couldn’t verify the claim.
Well, now he can, and Stahl has said absolutely nothing about it.
