Hillary Clinton Claims African Americans Aren’t Safe In Florida

Last week the LGBT advocacy group Human Rights Campaign issued a travel warning for those considering visiting Florida, claiming that the state has enacted laws “hostile to the LGBTQ community,” The Washington Examiner reported.

The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) travel advisory updates a previous travel warning issued by the LGBT group Equality Florida.

According to HRC, the advisory was issued due to Florida’s Parental Rights in Education law prohibiting K through 8 instruction on gender identity and sexual orientation and the law banning Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs in schools.

In a statement announcing the travel advisory, HRC president Kelley Robinson accused Florida Governor Ron DeSantis of weaponizing his office “to weave bigotry, hate, and discrimination” in legislation for “political gain.” Robinson claimed that it was the duty of HRC “to provide guidance to our community.”

According to HRC, the travel advisory is “not a blanket recommendation against travel” and is not calling for a boycott of Florida. Instead, it is simply to inform its community about the “devastating impacts” of the Florida laws.

Just days before HRC issued its travel advisory, the NAACP issued a similar advisory claiming that Florida is “openly hostile” to blacks and “LGBTQ+ individuals.”

Not to be left out of the performative drama, another HRC, namely former presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton, promoted the recent travel advisories on Twitter, claiming in a tweet that Governor DeSantis’ “ultra-MAGA Florida” is not safe for the LGBT community, “people of color,” “or even multi-billion dollar corporations.”

In push-back against the performative “travel advisories,” Florida Republican Senator Rick Scott released a travel advisory of his own, warning that the state is “openly hostile” toward Communists, Socialists, and their enablers.

Florida Republican Party chair Christian Ziegler also hit back, pointing out in a tweet that the chairman of the NAACP, Leon W. Russell, resides in the great state of Florida.
