Videos surfaced recently showing armed Hamas militants atop humanitarian assistance trucks as they drove into Gaza, aiming their firearms at unsuspecting hungry residents on the street below.
According to reports from the last several weeks, there has been a lot of worry that Hamas may seize more aid trucks and never let the people of Gaza get the food, medication, and other supplies to be sent to them.
An X user posted the video describing that international pressure on Israel to provide humanitarian supplies to Gaza for the sake of the Palestinian people has resulted in the swift pilferage of such supplies by Hamas. You can see their assailants perched on relief vehicles, ready to open fire on the people.
United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) spokesperson Lina Khaledah posted to X saying that many people hadn’t eaten in days. Water, food, and fuel are being systematically used as weapons of war in Gaza. They urged more aid to be sent to Gaza.
Chaya Raichik (Libs of TikTok) posted that UNRWA has voiced its displeasure with Gaza’s water and food shortages. But they intentionally omit the fact that Hamas often steals humanitarian assistance. UNRWA should talk to their Hamas allies about delivering supplies to Gaza.
According to other accounts, gunmen open fire on residents who try to rush the relief vehicles to acquire provisions before the Hamas militants can seize them.
Yoni Michanie reported on December 4 that in Gaza, locals are ambushing relief vehicles as they try to pass the Rafah border in search of water and food. The trucks will then go to the Red Crescent storage areas, where the residents assert that only “close friends” get the supplies. Hamas militants often shoot the residents.
Midway through December, a video recorded by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) showed militants from Hamas taking humanitarian aid and then assaulting the people who had been targeted.
Whether it’s firing rockets from civilian locations or using humanitarian aid for various evil purposes, like storing weapons in UNRWA-labeled bags, the video evidence is just the most recent example of how terror group Hamas exploits the civilian population in Gaza.
