Former NFL Pro Shoots 5 People Down

(FiveNation.com)- America experienced another tragic shooting on Wednesday, with a Christian doctor and the author of “Angels in the ER,” Dr. Robert D. Lesslie, shot and killed in his home. Lesslie was murdered alongside his wife and two grandchildren, by Phillip Adams, a former NFL player.

Authorities in South Carolina said that five people in total were shot and killed by Adams, who had gone on to play in the NFL after graduating from a local school and college.

York County Sheriff Kevin Tolson revealed the disturbing news on Wednesday that the 32-year-old Adams shot two air conditioning technicians outside of Lesslie’s Rock Hill home, before breaching the property and shooting his wife, Barbara Lesslie, and other members of his family.

James Lewis, one of the air conditioning technicians, was found dead. Lewis came from Gastonia, North Carolina. The surviving technician called his employer to say he had been shot, and told his employer to call 911. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The shooter was found dead later that day from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a bedroom of a property roughly half a mile away from the crime scene. He shared the property with his parents.

Sheriff Tolson said it was unclear why Adams committed the murder.

“There’s nothing about this right now that makes sense to any of us,” he said.

The four children of Dr. Lesslie issued a statement saying that they don’t expect to ever understand what happened.

“While we know there are no answers that will satisfy the question ‘why,’ we are sure of one thing: we do not grieve as those without hope. Our hope is found in the promise of Jesus Christ, and we are enveloped by peace that surpasses all understanding,” they said.

Lesslie was described by Tolson as a “pillar n the community.”

“He treated me I the past at his clinic…he knew everyone, he treated everyone with respect,” he added.

The tragic murder comes at a time when the issue of gun control is at the forefront of political debate, with President Joe Biden announcing new executive actions on gun restrictions. Governor Doug Ducey of Arizona has also signed legislation that would stop the federal government from forcing Americans to abide by new legislation that infringes the Second Amendment.

But whatever happens, you can probably bet that this tragic news will be used by the Democrats in one way or another to push their radical agenda.
