(FiveNation.com)- A writer acclaimed by Time magazine for having one of 140 Best Twitter Feeds of 2011 has tested positive for COVID-19, despite never taking her mask off around people except for a time or two as she sipped her tea.
The haughty Heidi Moore declared to Twitter that ‘Miss Rona’ had arrived to see her for the first time and described her situation as very funny but in a dark way since she had never taken her mask off in front of others except to have a few sips of tea. Moore then placed the blame on children who were playing outside in an attempt to explain why her preventative steps had failed to prevent the illness. She claimed she was near some little kids outside who came up to say hello, which ‘definitely’ had a factor.
According to media reports, the news comes only days after Zeke Emanuel, a prominent Obama health-care advisor, recommended Americans to continue wearing N95 masks, limit travel, and avoid dining at indoor restaurants. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) recently stated that members of the House could vote from home until June 28. Several Democratic politicians continue to keep their offices closed, media reports show.
President Joe Biden urged Americans to go back to work in his State of the Union speech on March 1, asserting that those working from home can feel comfortable to begin to return to the office. Investigative reports show that on Biden’s watch, almost 600,000 Americans have perished from COVID-19, but since the Omicron surge in late January, deaths, and hospitalizations attributable to the virus have dropped to near all-time lows.
The COVID-19 epidemic was the only topic on which a majority of respondents gave Biden’s performance a good assessment, according to a Quinnipiac poll released last week. Forty-eight percent said they approved of the President’s handling of the epidemic, while 47 percent said they didn’t. Unfortunately for Joe Biden, only 2% of Americans believed COVID-19 was the most pressing issue confronting the country now, compared to 33% who said inflation was the most pressing concern.
Biden had a failing mark when it came to problems that the American people are truly worried about, such as the economy. Only 32 percent of respondents approved of the President’s handling of the economy, compared to 63 percent who disapproved. A staggering 85 percent of those polled believe the US economy is likely to enter a recession in the coming year.
