(FiveNation.com)- After Jussie Smollett was found guilty of five of the six charges against him, Twitter had a field day drawing attention to all the politicians and pundits who stupidly fell for the hate crime hoaxer’s fake story.
Ironically, Jussie Smollett’s faked hate crime occurred just one week after politicians and pundits stupidly fell for the “Smirking Kid in a MAGA Hat” hoax, proving that these idiots were so desperate to believe any phony story that painted Trump supporters as dangerous racists.
Kamala Harris, who had just launched her Presidential campaign a few days earlier, landed on the Jussie Smollett hoax with both feet. In a tweet condemning the attack that never happened, Harris claimed Jussie’s staged “hate crime” was an “attempted modern-day lynching.”
And Kamala wasn’t alone. Senator Cory Booker, Kirsten Gillibrand, Rashida Tlaib, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Elizabeth Warren, Eric Swalwell, even Joe Biden fell for the hoax hook, line, and sinker.
Shortly after Smollett’s story fell apart, a reporter confronted Kamala about her gullible tweet while the hapless candidate was campaigning in New Hampshire. Kamala looked like a deer in the headlights trying to answer the reporter’s question.
.@KamalaHarris's face and pause when asked about her previous tweet that the attack on Jussie Smollett was a "modern-day lynching" is something to behold

It really shouldn’t surprise anyone that Kamala and Joe Biden both fell for “whip-gate” this fall. To this day, those guys will fall for every ginned-up, social-media-driven hoax that comes over the transom.
But one of the funniest gullible tweets had to be the one from MSNBC host and race-hustler Al Sharpton.
When Sharpton tweeted his support for his “friend and brother” Smollett, he demanded that the “guilty must face the maximum.”
After Smollett was found guilty, conservative columnist Steven L. Miller responded to Sharpton tweeting, “I have good news, Reverend.”
During her press briefing after the Smollett verdict, White House press secretary Jen Psaki was asked about Biden and Harris falling for the hoax and if there were any lessons to learn about rushing to judgment.
Rather than address the question directly, Psaki did one of her famous “But Trump did too!” responses.
REPORTER: “Since the [Smollett] guilty verdict, are there any lessons learned here on rushing to judgement when a crime is alleged?”
PSAKI: “There are lessons learned, perhaps for everybody who commented at the time, including former President Trump.” pic.twitter.com/oZYnW0i89i

Don’t hold your breath for any of these Democrats to admit they were wrong in assuming Smollett’s obvious hoax was true. They never will.
These guys fell for the Covington Hoax, the Smollett Hoax, and, just months ago fell for the social-media-driven hoax that border patrol agents on horseback were using whips on Haitian illegals.
They will never learn a single thing. And when the next hoax comes around, every single one of them will fall for it. Guaranteed.
