Dan Bongino Banned By YouTube In Stunning Display Of Censorship

(FiveNation.com)- Dan Bongino, the firebrand conservative radio host and Fox News star, has been permanently banned from YouTube for…well, the usual reasons.

A YouTube spokesperson confirmed the news, stating that they had terminated Bongino’s channels for “circumventing” their Terms of Service “by posting a video while there was an active strike and suspension associated with the account.”

That sounds like a fantastic excuse to terminate a major conservative influencer’s channel without actually admitting it’s because the social media platform doesn’t like his views.

The spokesperson explained that when a YouTube channel receives a strike, it’s against YouTube’s terms of service to post content or use a different channel to circumvent that suspension. It means that Bongino fell foul of a rule designed to silence conservatives or anybody who publishes content that YouTube just doesn’t like.

The initial suspension occurred at the beginning of January when he published a video accurately describing the wearing of masks as “useless” in stopping the spread of COVID-19.

And while it’s a sign that the censorship of conservatives by Big Tech is just going to continue and get worse, the deplatforming of perhaps the most popular conservative radio host in the country could serve to help the growth of alternative social media platforms like Rumble.

Before the YouTube ban happened, Bongino had already vowed to leave the platform and start uploading his content exclusively to Rumble. The platform has become one of the most popular video uploading sites for conservatives, offering an experience similar to YouTube but without the censorship.

The Dan Bongino YouTube channel remains suspended, YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki said, because of the “risk of incitement to violence.”

These people are insane.

Insane.
