Bobbie Jean Carter, 41, was discovered dead in her bathroom, which has an uncanny resemblance to the way her renowned brother Aaron died.
Carter was discovered lifeless in her bathtub upon authority’s arrival at her Tampa, Florida, home on Saturday morning. Despite being rushed to a neighboring hospital, she was tragically declared dead upon arrival.
Her death occurred when she was serving a probation sentence for cocaine possession, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Yet, according to her housemates, Bobbie Jean has abstained from drug usage ever since her release from jail.
Neither Bobbie Jean’s bedroom nor the bathroom where she was discovered had any illicit substances, according to the police. Furthermore, the authorities have verified no indications of foul play. The inquiry into Bobbie Jean’s death continues.
Bobbie Jean’s cause of death remains a mystery, but her discovery in her bathroom brings to mind the circumstances surrounding the discovery of her brother, musician Aaron Carter. In November of 2022, Carter was also discovered lifeless in his bathtub.
“Based on the autopsy results, investigation reports, and circumstances, as presently known, Mr. Carter became unconscious while in the bathtub owing to the effects of breathing compressed gas (difluoroethane) and consuming alprazolam (Xanax),” Aaron’s toxicology report concluded.
Like Matthew Perry, he slipped under the water and drowned.
The Florida Medical Examiner’s Office did the autopsy and is now waiting for the family to arrange for her release. The precise cause of death might take four to five months, or even longer, to be determined, according to the autopsy report.
