Biden Refers To Trump As ‘Shockingly Gracious’ – See Why

(FiveNation.com)- Before departing the White House, departing US presidents customarily place a letter for their successor on the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office.

In an excerpt from Chris Whipple’s upcoming book, “The Fight of His Life: Inside Joe Biden’s White House,” President Joe Biden called the tradition former President Donald Trump followed as he left the Oval Office “shockingly gracious.”

According to Whipple, Biden commented on the action, calling the letter extremely kind,  generous, and incredibly gracious.

Reports show White House spokesperson Robyn Patterson provided a statement regarding the book, saying that they respect that there will be no shortage of books written about the administration containing a wide variety of claims.

Patterson stated that regarding the specifics of those claims, they do not intend to confirm or deny anything. The author did not provide them with an opportunity to confirm the sources that are cited.

Media requests for comment were not immediately answered by a Trump spokesperson or a White House press office representative.

The first time Biden acknowledged receiving a letter from Trump was in January 2021. This was after Trump disregarded Biden’s inauguration.

On January 20, 2021, Biden told reporters that the president had written a very kind letter, but he wouldn’t discuss it until he spoke with him because it was private.

In an episode of the podcast “The Truth with Lisa Boothe” from March 2021, Trump also briefly mentioned the letter.

Trump explained that he wished him luck in a multi-page-long letter from the bottom of his heart because he wanted him to succeed.

Jen Psaki, the then-White House press secretary, narrated when Biden discovered Trump’s letter on a February 17 episode of the podcast “Literally! with Robe Lowe.”

Psaki claimed that Biden read the letter in front of her but kept its contents to himself. The letter was lengthy, according to Psaki.  She said the script was very beautiful from what she could see.

Miscreants deserve no beauty or grace.
