Biden Is Giving Cellphones To Illegals

( Upwards of 255,000 recently arrived illegal immigrants have been furnished with mobile phones by Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The government asserts that providing the phones would make it simpler to monitor the locations of the individuals in question. According to the United States Customs and Border Patrol numbers, more than 2.4 million illegal immigrants crossed the border during the most recent fiscal year, setting a new record in the process.

The most recent data provided by DHS illustrates the level to which the Alternatives to Detention (ATD) program has been extended during the administration of President Joe Biden. Migrants are occasionally transferred to the nation’s interior before being released with instructions to appear in court at a specific time. However, since so many illegal immigrants do not appear in court when they are supposed to, it is difficult for immigration authorities to keep track of them.

According to statistics collected by the federal government, only a tiny percentage of border crossers and illegal immigrants have legitimate asylum claims. Only 1.6% of applicants overall have valid reasons to be allowed to stay in the United States.
Those seeking asylum are expected to file their claims in the first nation they visit.

Despite the low number, President Biden decided to end the “Remain in Mexico” policy that had been in place during the Trump administration. This policy required illegal immigrants to return to Mexico immediately while waiting for the United States to process their applications for asylum and immigration.

According to the most recent statistics provided by ATD, beginning October 1, 2021, and ending September 30, 2022, the Department of Homeland Security under Biden provided mobile phones to more than 255,000 border crossers and illegal immigrants. The agency expects the phones to be utilized to keep tabs on their whereabouts. According to reports, users cannot access the internet or make phone calls using the devices.

The initiative is estimated to cost American taxpayers more than $360,000 daily.

Since President Biden took office, approximately 2.2 million people who crossed the border illegally or were already in the country illegally have entered the United States. This number does not include individuals who were able to enter the country without being discovered by Border Patrol agents.
