(FiveNation.com)- New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez criticized “far-right lawmakers” for transporting people from the southern border of the United States to states further away.
Ocasio-Cortez stated in a tweet that it is appalling that far-right politicians appear to have decided that fall, right before an election, is their regularly scheduled time to commit crimes against humanity on refugees.”

On Thursday, Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida took responsibility for directing two planes to fly from Texas to the island of Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts. It is believed that the planes were carrying approximately 50 migrants. At least some of the migrants have reported that they were given false information regarding the destination of their journey.
Taryn Fenske, the communications director for DeSantis, told Fox News Digital that Florida could confirm that two planes with illegal immigrants arriving in Martha’s Vineyard today were part of the state’s relocation program to transport illegal alien immigrants to sanctuary destinations.
DeSantis has stated that the migrants intended to travel to Florida, but he wanted other states to pay what he refers to as the “costs” of migration. Despite this, the migrants looked to be given a warm welcome in Martha’s Vineyard.
They were also given a cold departure. Lip service was paid about Martha’s Vineyard residents’ benevolence as the migrants were ushered off the island.
Over the past few weeks, other Republican politicians have dispatched migrants to various locations across the country, including New York and Washington, DC.
The Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, made the announcement in a tweet that two buses from his state arrived at the Naval Observatory in Washington, DC on Friday night.
Abbott tweeted, “VP Harris asserts that our border is “secure” and denies that there is a problem.” We’re going to deploy migrants to her backyard so that we can pressure the Biden administration to do its duty and secure the border.
